Palm Bay Raccoon Removal Services
Palm Bay’s proximity to wooded areas makes it a very common area for raccoon problems. We specialize in the removal of raccoons in the attic.
The only reason raccoons will typically enter a home is when they have, or are going to have babies, and they need a safe space to build a den away from predators.
The attic of your home is the perfect spot, and a female raccoon can easily push up and damage the soffit of your home and gain entry to the attic. They have also been known to dig at shingles and cause major roof damage, which in Florida especially, can lead to roof leaks.
While most people expect us to simply set a trap and remove the raccoon, this is not an effective or humane way to remove them. This can also lead to the baby raccoons becoming trapped in the attic, which means additional cost and damage to the homeowner to remove them.
We prefer to use a “hormone method” to rid the attic of the animals.
While most sprays, deterrents, and wives tales (such as mothballs) are not effective, we use a potent male raccoon hormone, placed in or around the den, as well as the main entry point of the animals.
Because male raccoons are predatory towards females and their young, the female will sense danger and relocate the young to another area.
Raccoon Damage Before – Raccoon pushed up through the soffit and entered the attic.
Raccoon Damage After – Area was sealed off with white aluminum, and soffit and fascia was reinforced to prevent re-entry.
